Artist's Statement

I believe that art belongs to the beholder. It is created for those who will see it and not purely as a means of the artists self-expression. For this reason, I believe art should be created with the beholder in mind. In other words, the artist should always ask themselves whether or not someone would want to have it and to look at it. My sources of inspiration are many and varied. They range from history and the Bible to nature. While I feel that an artist can never really emulate nature, I also feel that there can be no greater source of inspiration that Gods creation.
